Weather and cancellations

Safety comes first

Private flights depend on the weather. A flight may be postponed or cancelled whenever safe operation is not possible.

Who decides whether the flight takes place?

The pilot assesses the weather and all relevant operational conditions. The final decision to depart, postpone or cancel always remains with the pilot.

Why might a flight be cancelled?

  • Unfavourable weather
  • Limited visibility
  • Strong winds
  • Technical reasons
  • Operational restrictions

What happens after a cancellation?

You will be informed about the booking status. Pilot and traveller can agree a new date or handle the booking in line with the applicable refund terms.

Weather can change at short notice

Even a good forecast can change quickly. A final confirmation may therefore only be possible shortly before departure. Check your messages before travelling to the airfield and remain reachable by phone.

Flying safely means staying flexible

A weather-related change can be disappointing, but it always protects everyone involved.
