Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions for pilots

Answers about registration, verification, publishing flights, cost sharing, Wishflight and payouts.

Registration and verification

You need a pilot account, complete profile information and the required current identity, licence, rating and medical documentation.

Verification supports transparent pilot profiles and is required before public offers or Wishflight responses can be made.

Upload the renewed document promptly. Pilot functions may be restricted while required evidence is no longer valid.

Offering flights and costs

You can publish suitable sightseeing flights, excursions and planned point-to-point routes, subject to the applicable rules and your qualifications.

No. Private cost-sharing flights are not commercial transport. Only permitted direct costs may be shared and the pilot must contribute.

You do as pilot in command. Safety, weather, aircraft serviceability and operational conditions always take priority.

Wishflight and bookings

No. You choose which requests fit your aircraft, experience and plans.

The traveller pays through Aviatefinder. Your eligible share is released after the flight has been completed.

A replacement date may be agreed. Otherwise the booking is handled under the applicable cancellation and refund terms and no payout is released.
